I’m excited to contribute to the Creative Waterford and Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Shared Island project by providing management services for the coordination and logistics of travel and event planning for this trip and the upcoming events. Looking forward to seeing the creative results once it’s all completed!

The Shared Island Project is a joint two-year initiative between Waterford City and County Council and the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council to develop and enhance our shared sense of community. Building Shared Creative Communities supports and deepens the understanding of the importance of how our industrial heritage shaped our locality, the potential of our micro creative industries and what is in common between the two areas.

As the project assistant for the Shared Island project, I have the exciting task of supporting the collaboration between Waterford City & County Council and Mid & East Borough Council Antrim. My role involves coordinating all the behind-the-scenes details that make each event and group trip run smoothly.

From arranging transport and accommodation to keeping meticulous records, I ensure every aspect of the project is well-organised. Communication is key, and I regularly liaise with participants, suppliers, and partners to make sure everyone is on the same page.

This role allows me to bring people together for meaningful exchanges, ensuring that each experience is memorable and productive. Whether it’s securing venues or confirming travel logistics, I’m dedicated to making the Shared Island project a seamless and enjoyable journey for all involved.
