Recently Carmel coordinated an international executive group of delegates visiting Waterford company, Fastform Research. David Sheehan, CEO of Fastform Research said that “we invited executive management and top performing sales members from our US distribution partner to come to Ireland for a mix of business and leisure activities. The US delegation numbered 14 people from various locations in the United States while the Irish locations and attractions earmarked for their visit included Waterford, Cork, Kerry and Dublin.….Carmel organised flights, hotels, transport, meals, business meetings etc and leisure activities that included golf, spas and sightseeing events at the various locations. Thanks to Carmel, scheduling and agendas for the 5 days of activities went like clockwork resulting in the US delegation having a fabulous memorable time in Ireland.”

Carmel collaborated with JE Warren Consulting on the inaugural Community Connect Conference 2017. John Warren stated “I would highly recommend the services of Events by Carmel Grant. I contracted with Carmel to help organise the inaugural and very successful Community Connect Conference for the community, voluntary and charity sector which I staged in the Tower Hotel last March. Carmel’s professionalism and attention to detail throughout the entire event management process was excellent and she was a joy to work with”.

From 2011 to 2016, Carmel had the honour of developing, coordinating and managing the Waterford Writers’ Weekend Festival with the Waterford City & County Library Services and Arts Office. The Waterford Writers’ Weekend festival, a Waterford City & County Library Services initiative, celebrates the art and the craft of writing. The festival hosts a series of panel discussion events, talks, readings and workshops, in many venues around Waterford City and County and this year is part of the Imagine Arts Festival which takes place from the 19th to the 29th October.

Carmel assists in organising and promoting the monthly WMBN events and the Waterford Crafts Annual Christmas Craft Fair in the Garter Lane Arts Centre.

As a Waterford Chamber of Commerce member, Events by Carmel Grant was the recent Business of the Week and she remarked that she “was delighted and overwhelmed with all the support she received from the chamber and fellow business members”.
